Ironclad Grandma’s Hands Oven Mitt

Ironclad Oven Mitts are 100% cotton and hand-made to last right here in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The interior cotton is a natural unbleached and undyed Cotton Duck. It’s very comfy, long-lasting and durable. The thick quilt lining makes them well insulated and soft to wear.

Outside, we have two fabrics: Bull Denim and Black Cotton Drill.

Bull Denim is constructed with a 3×1 twill, creating a soft durable material that will hold up to everyday use.

Black Cotton Drill is a stout durable fabric with a strong bias (diagonal) in the weave.

At Ironclad we try to make products that people need, in quantities people need them. That’s to avoid the waste that comes from low-cost mass-run commercial manufacturing. While making products to order may not be economically savvy, it is environmentally friendly. And that’s important to us.
